AbstractRenal cell carcinoma is not common malignancy. Unfortunately, it remains difficult to cure, with small improvements being made in chemo/immunotherapeutic areas. Surgery remains the most successful approach for curative treatment in both primary and metastatic disease. Prospective studies are critically needed to definitively determine appropriate prognostic indicators for operation.
