Localization of the Interferon-Alpha Gene-Cluster to Rat Chromosome Bands 5q31- Q33 by Fluorescence Insitu Hybridization
Cytogenetics and Cell Genetics. 1992 ;60(3-4) :247-249
AbstractThe chromosomal location of the rat interferon-alpha (IFNA) gene cluster was determined by fluorescence in situ hybridization. The fluorescent signals were localized to 5q31-- >q33. A previous report, using somatic cell hybrids, had suggested that the IFNA locus maps at a different region on rat chromosome 5.
