AbstractIn this issue of Molecular Cell, Gao et al. (2012) show that the glycolytic enzyme PKM2, in its dimeric form, possesses protein kinase activity and phosphorylates STAT3 in the nucleus, thereby driving expression of genes that promote transformation.
